| Cinepicks.com » Malayalam » Actress » Vimala raman Slideshow Vimala Raman is a well known Bharatanatyam dancer as well as actress in Tamil and Malayalam Film Industry. Being born and brought up in Sydney, Australia Vimala Raman entered her childhood passion of Bharthanatyam at the age of five.
In October 2004 Vimala won the crown for the Miss India Australia 2004 title, as well as the Miss India Australia CyberQueen title.
She went as part of a troupe of “Australian Indians” to perform in numerous places in Sri Lanka and also performed in many places in India, including the Music Academy in Chennai, Kalaimamani Awards (Chennai), Mahabalipuram Dance Festival, Chidambaram Shiva Temple and in the National College,Bangalore.
Her famous Malayalam films are Time (Shaji Kailas, Suresh Gopi), Nasrani (Mammootty, Joshy), Romeo (Rajasenan, Rafi Mecartin, Dileep, Samvrutha Sunil), Calcutta News (Blessey, Thambi Antony, Dileep), College Kumaran (Mohanlal) and Twenty 20.
Vimala Raman also acted in Cheran's Raman Thediya Seethai and K.Balachander's Poi.
