Kuniyamma'- Her only son was everything for this sixty plus year old lady. When her son, an intellectual, who in a short while became a rebel, was sentenced for taking part in terrorist activities, she was more than agitated. Sukumari is playing the crucial role of Kuniyamma , an old woman in this film 'Mizhikal Saakshy’.

Mohanlal plays the role of the anti social element, the only son of Kuniyamma, who gets sentenced to death. The others in the casts includes Krishna Prasad, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathi Sreekumar, Kochu Preman and Vijayraghavan.
