The movie titled Yugapurushan is a period film based on the life of Sree Narayana Guru spanning 1856 to 1928.
Yugapurushan's shooting has started in Palakkad months ago. Film will be shot at various places in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Srilanka. Tamil actor Thalaivasal Vijay will don the role of Sree Narayana Guru.
Mammooty has opted for the role of a revolutionary who lived and supported the guru’s principles and teachings in this 500 million rupees film.
Super star Mohanlal will play the role of Swami Vivekananda in Yugapurushan.
Navya Nair is cast in the role of a Brahmin lady named Savithri Antharjanam, who loves and marries a 'pulayan' named Koran.
