 Megastar Mammootty’s new movie Kuttishranku starts rolling. Nationally and internationally acclaimed Director Shaji N Karun is working with Mammootty for the first time for this movie.
Anil Ambani’s, Reliance Big Motion Pictures Ltd., which has been recently launched, makes its debut with the production of this Malayalam film. Kuttishranku is going to be a period film, taking us back to the early 1950’s.
Kamalini Mukherjee, Padmapriya and Sri Lankan actress Meena Kumari are the lead ladies. The cast also include Siddique, P. Sreekumar, Suresh Krishna, Rajeev Kalamassery, Rajesh Varma, Krishnan, Saji Sopanam, Amith, Selvaraj, and Kozhikode Sharada.
Kuttishranku would be shot in the backdrop of Kerala backwaters at Kaavalam, Kumarakom and Vaikom. Kuttishranku has an entire big episode on the backdrop of Chavaittu Natakam, a form of music drama performed in parts of Kerala, especially in the coastal region lying to the south of Chavakkad near Kodungalloor to the town of Kollam.
The film’s script is penned by P.F.Mathews. Art Direction is by Suresh Kollam. Camera is by debutant Anjali. Isaac Thomas Kottukapally is the Music Director. Mammootty sings a song beginning "Karikutty...", picturized on him and Suresh Krishna. |
