 Mohanlal’s Aakasha Gopuram by the National Award Winning Director K.P.Kumaran is releasing today. This movie is said to be a milestone in the actors career. The director was waiting for about 15 years to do this film. Aakasha Gopuram has English sub titles. The movie is based on Henrik Ibsen's classic ‘‘Master Builder''.
The movie also stars Late Bharath Gopi, Swetha Menon, and the new comer Nithya. The movie is shot entirely in London. The movie has assembled the best talents from Hollywood, UK, Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Mohanlal plays Albert Samson, a middle-aged architect, who is ready to sacrifice anything for art. Though he shot to fame in his art field, his family life was affected because of his dedication only to art.
Aakasha Gopuram is marketed as the first real international film. The music is scored by BAFTA and John Altman (multiple Emmy Award Winner and famous for the films like Golden Eye, Titanic, Shall We Dance fame). Visual effects are by John Harvey and Jonathan Trussler (Kingdom of Heaven). Cinematography is by Santhosh C Thundiyil who is famous for his success with the films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Pinjar, and Kaal. Sabu Cyril is the production designer. |
