 Kamal and Asin will act in the English movie titled '19 steps' produced by Walt Disney in association with Bharath Bala productions. The film is based on the martial arts like Kalaripayattu. Kamalhaasan is to play the role of the Kalaripayattu expert who is in Japan to train a young Japanese man played by the popular Japanese star Tadanobu Asano.
Asin is in the role of a local princess who is an expert in martial arts and fall for the Japanese man. The movie will be a period film. The story for the film is based on the work of popular Malayalam writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair. Hollywood writers will look into the script to make it to international standards.'19 steps' is expected to be made on a budget of $50 million. The movie will have Tamil, Telugu and Japanese versions.
Bharath Bala will direct the movie and A.R.Rahman will do the music. |
